In various organizations, there is often a desire to share research data files with other research groups, whether internal or external. Due to the large volume of data often generated, it is typical to archive this data to a longer term, lower cost storage medium, such as cloud or tape. A solution must be provided that can both archive the data and restore the archived data files to a more accessible location when they need to be shared.
