Industry Awards in 2022 Reflect Spectra Logic’s Innovation in Data Management and Data Storage for the Multi-Cloud World

In the last year, Spectra Logic’s solutions have won a number of prestigious industry awards. The coveted acknowledgements are extremely important for Spectra, as they recognize the new direction the company has recently taken with its product portfolio to help customers thrive in a multi-cloud world. Of note, the addition of Spectra Vail® software, as well as Spectra’s enhanced BlackPearl Platform, enable customers to better manage, migrate, store and preserve their business data long-term, whether on-premises, in a single cloud, across multiple clouds, or in all locations at once. The most recent accolade was bestowed by the IABM BaM Awards on Spectra’s Vail Distributed Multi-Cloud Data Management Software as a finalist in the Store category. The IABM BaM Award winners are chosen by a panel of more than 40 independent, expert judges, each with specialist expertise in one or more of the awards categories. For media organizations managing digital assets in a distributed workflow, Spectra Vail software allows users to leverage on-premises applications and native cloud services no matter where content is created or stored, fostering collaboration by providing universal access to data in a single namespace and automating digital asset placement across multiple clouds and sites. In addition to the IABM BaM honor, Spectra Vail has received six other Industry Awards in 2022:

• November 2022 – Finalist: Digital Media World Awards.
• September 2022 – Winner: Best of Show by TVB Europe, the leading media outlet serving traditional broadcast media.
• June 2022 – Winner: Cloud Product of the Year for Storage Magazine’s Storries Awards.
• April 2022 – Winner: NAB Show 2022 Product of the Year Award in the Cloud Computing & Storage category.
• April 2022 – Shortlisted: 2022 DCS Awards for Storage Innovation of the Year.

In addition to Spectra Vail being widely acknowledged by several awards in the last 12 months, other Spectra solutions have been recognized by the industry this year with additional accolades. In July, Spectra customer Imperial War Museums and its vast archive of nearly one million digital assets supported by a software and hardware solution from Spectra and Axiell, was named the winner of the 2022 IBC Innovation Award in the Content Distribution category for finding new ways to make its collection accessible by all; in June, Spectra Logic was honored by Storage Magazine as a Finalist in 16 categories of the 2022 Stories Awards; Spectra Tape Libraries won for Top Tape Libraries in StorageNewsletter’s Best Products of 2022 listing published in January; and also in January, Spectra StorCycle was selected as a finalist in the well-known Storage Magazine and SearchStorage 2021 Products of the Year awards and won Gold in the 2021 Digital Media World Awards.
