Capacity on Demand
Spectra Logic Capacity on Demand (COD) is a flexible storage solution that allows users to start with minimal tape slots and expand as needed. For instance, the Spectra Stack tape library enables users to begin with as few as 10 tape slots and increase capacity over time in 10-slot increments.
In addition, the Spectra TeraPack magazine allows you to store more data in a smaller space. Each TeraPack magazine holds 10 LTO-9 cartridges, making it easy to manage media and improving media handling by reducing the time spent loading tapes into a library by 90%.
The Spectra Stack library can be expanded easily without professional assistance. It can hold up to 560 slots when fully expanded, delivering 10.08 PB of uncompressed data storage (or 25.2 PB compressed) using LTO-9 media.

Users can now leverage tape’s cost-effective storage, cloud distribution and disaster recovery solutions to create a custom hybrid cloud storage system.
