Seamless Management for Spectra Stack Tape Library Systems
BlueVision is fully integrated library management software that has been adapted from Spectra Enterprise BlueScale management software to run optimally on the Spectra Stack tape library. The interface is accessed via an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) available on both the color touchscreen of the control module or via remote web interface.
BlueVision Management Software Features
- User-friendly Interface – Local or remote control via the front panel or web browser
- Media Lifecycle Management (MLM) – track over 40 pieces of information on each tape within the Spectra Stack library. The information is recorded onto the MAM chip of each LTO tape and follows tapes into offsite storage as well.
- Capacity-on-Demand (COD) – Users can start with as few as 10 tape slots enabled and grow the number of slots needed over time in increments of 10. Both the control module and expansion module(s) are equipped with 80 tape slots.
- Partitioning – Up to 20 partitions can be created within a full rack of Spectra Stack.
- Ransomware Protection – create a true “offline” air gap for data protection and secure storage space not accessible by software.
- Multiple Encryption Options – choice of encryption options with built-in encryption key management and optional support for ESKM 4, SKLM, and KMIP encryption functionality

With optional Ethernet-to-SAS bridges, it eliminates the need for dedicated storage area network connections. Spectra Stack also supports Fibre Channel and SAS drive interfaces.
