What is it?

SpectraLIVE Virtual Conference is Spectra’s inaugural online virtual conference, hosted by Spectra’s Executive and Product Teams covering hot topics. We will leave the conference bridge open all day, so come and go as your schedule permits!

What topics will be covered?

Topics will range from Spectra’s newest solutions, features, use cases and roadmaps. They’ll include updates on Spectra tape libraries, tape media – including LTO and IBM’s TS tape technologies, storage lifecycle management software and Spectra’s role in the cloud.

    8:00 - 8:15 a.m.               Welcome to the SpectraLIVE Virtual Conference
    Spectra Leadership will introduce you to Spectra, our mission. our new SpectraLIVE virtual program, what will be covered during the virtual conference.
    8:15 - 9:15 a.m.               Hardware Overview
    Experts will cover Spectra tape, Spectra BlackPearl NAS, Spectra BlackPearl Converged Storage System and their respective roadmaps, as well as new features and functionality that increase performance and productivity.
    9:30 - 10:15 a.m.             Spectra and the Cloud
    Panelists will provide a high-level overview of how to control the cloud and use it effectively. We’ll discuss the benefits of a hybrid cloud, utilizing both on-premise and off-premise cloud storage to protect your data.
    10:30 - 11:15 a.m.           Software Overview
    Product management will review Spectra’s latest storage lifecycle management software, StorCycle. We’ll review how the product identifies, migrates, protects and provides access to less active data, and we’ll review new features with an interface demonstration as well as upcoming releases.
    11:30 - 12:15 p.m.           Use Cases
    Spectra Leadership will review how end users in the field have implemented Spectra storage solutions to streamline their data centers and protect their assets. We’ll cover what their environments look like before and after implementing their Spectra solution. Use cases will include general IT, media and entertainment, and high performance computing.
    12:45 - 1:15 p.m.             Spectra in Media & Entertainment
    Spectra subject matter experts will review how Spectra has honed in to provide the world’s largest broadcasters and production facilities with modern storage solutions that streamline their digital workflows and safeguard their digital assets.
    1:15 - 2:00 p.m.               Spectra in High Performance Computing
    Spectra subject matter experts will review what high performance computing (HPC) environments look like, why Spectra solutions are best oriented for these performance thirsty workflows and review how its proprietary feature set makes it stand out from the storage crowd in HPC.
    2:00 - 2:05 p.m.               Wrap Up
    Spectra Leadership will conclude the conference and provide information on how to secure product demonstrations, as well as deliver information on more upcoming SpectraLIVE productions.
