In working with the Military Chaplain associated with the Raiders, Spectra decided that care packages containing Colorado-oriented products would be a welcome gift to the deployed troops. In early November 2018, Spectra Logic Corporation shipped hundreds of boxes of donated goods to the 2,000 Raiders deployed in Afghanistan. In addition, more than 500 support soldiers affiliated with this brigade stationed at Fort Carson also received the same donated items.
A dedicated team of Spectra veterans met biweekly to lead this effort, which was very successful because of the incredible generosity of the Spectra Logic community and numerous Colorado-based companies. The donated items included snacks, personal hygiene supplies, puzzle books, herbal teas, volleyballs, socks, Colorado postcards, flags and mini license plates.
In addition to the donations from Spectra Logic associates, the following companies donated to this endeavor: Fresca Foods, Celestial Seasonings, Impact Photographics, Denver Nuggets, 34 Degrees, Oasis Sports, The Bookworm, Dairy Farmers of America and Megafly.
Spectra associates and especially the company’s veterans, felt a great sense of pride that our collective efforts benefited soldiers deployed in the Middle East and serving state-side. In addition, Spectra families were invited to participate in serving Thanksgiving dinner to soldiers at the Ft. Carson dining Hall.
The Spectra team is pleased that the deployed members of the Raider’s Brigade returned to Colorado Springs by mid-February of 2019.

Spectra Logic supported the Colorado-based Raider Army Brigade by serving them Thanksgiving dinner at the
Fort Carson dining hall on November 20, 2018.
Spectra Logic supported the “Raiders” 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division soldiers and their families by serving them Thanksgiving dinner. Here Spectra associates and friends surround a costumed Army Staff Sergeant who provided some entertainment to the families while they enjoyed their meal.
