Each year, CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, compiles a list of 100 People You Don’t Know But Should, to celebrate under-the-radar channel management team members from the industry’s top vendors and distributors. The CRN editorial team, assessing feedback from solution providers and other industry executives, selects those that have worked tirelessly to create, promote and manage programs and policies that support and advance the IT channel.

This year’s list recognizes Spectra’s own Chief Sales Officer, Brian Grainger, and Senior Director of Marketing, Betsy Doughty.

Brian Grainger joined Spectra Logic Corporation in 2001 and currently serves as its Chief Sales Officer. With more than 25 years of experience in the storage industry, including 20 years of channel experience, Brian is responsible for the overall corporate sales strategy, P&L, territory development and expansion for more than 40 countries around the globe. He expanded the Spectra channel from 20 countries to more than 50, and currently oversees 750+ channel partners.

Within her role, Betsy Doughty oversees channel marketing, technology partnerships, vertical marketing, PR and AR, and marketing communications. Betsy has extensive experience within the industry, supporting sales initiatives and building alliances with Spectra’s reseller and technology partners via the SpectraEDGE program. SpectraEDGE is designed to ensure all Spectra Logic’s partners have the right tools and information needed to effectively promote and sell a Spectra Logic solution; to develop and execute go-to-market plans with partners and to support all channels worldwide.

“There are a number of people who work behind the scenes in the channel whose efforts do not often receive widespread attention, although they truly help to hold up the entire industry and make it the thriving, smoothly functioning ecosystem that it is,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. “We are pleased to shine a spotlight on these individuals with CRN’s 2016 100 People You Don’t Know But Should list and to honor their important work, which quietly underpins the infrastructure of the IT channel and allows the community to advance as a whole.”

The 2016 list of 100 People You Don’t Know But Should will be featured in the October issue of CRN and can be viewed online at www.crn.com/100people.
