On Friday, August 26th, Spectra Logic hosted its first ever “Bring Your Parents to Work Day” event. The event was put together by Summit, Spectra’s women’s leadership group, and took place at Spectra’s headquarters in Boulder, CO. Employees were encouraged to invite not only their parents, but spouses, and close family and friends as well.
To kick it off, the day began with attendee registration and breakfast, a company headquarters tour, and a Storage 101/Product Overview session.
Around noon, guests were provided lunch and received a brief company history overview from Spectra CEO Nathan Thompson.
The afternoon concluded with a brief market discussion and show-and-tell of a few of Spectra’s customer case studies from Senior Director of Marketing, Betsy Doughty, and Sales Regional VP, Chris Shannon…
…and an end-of-day company barbeque!
Spectra’s associates had a great time showing their friends and family around and teaching them all about what our company does. “It was so much fun and interesting to see where my son and my daughter in law work and learn about the innovations of data storage,” said Bring Your Parents to Work Day attendee, Ann Larsen. “Enjoyed meeting all the other employees and the exceptional hospitality. It was definite win for Spectra.”
