Last Wednesday evening, Spectra Logic was paid a special visit by two very important guests, travelling all the way to Colorado from the North Pole… Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus! The pair came to deliver gifts to all the good boys and girls, and to attend Spectra’s annual holiday company party, hosted at its headquarters in Boulder, CO.
This year’s event, which was arranged by the Spectra Booster Club (SBC), was a huge success! The company event center was packed with Spectra associates and their families, enjoying hors d’oeuvres, libations, and most of all, each other’s company. Included in the evening festivities was a photo booth, two caricaturists drawing portraits, children’s crafts and cookie decorating, an a capella choir group delivering live performances, and of course, a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
Several Spectra associates said that they felt this was one of the best holiday parties the company has ever hosted. A special thanks to the members of the SBC, as well as Brian Grainger (Santa Claus) and Betsy Doughty (Mrs. Claus), for a great event!
Here are some photos from the evening:
Children lined up to sit on Santa’s lap and spill the beans as to what they wanted for Christmas. Although, it seemed odd to see the Director of IT (Tony Mendoza) sitting on Santa’s lap. Perhaps he was asking for more internet bandwidth or…?
To all of the associates attending – thank you for making the event so much fun. To those who did not attend- thank you for not attending as the room was packed. 🙂
Foosball and pinball are two popular recreational activities at Spectra during business hours, and were also a huge hit at the party! (Especially with the kids)
Two very talented caricature artists attended the holiday party and drew cartoonish portraits for guests.
Graham Stoner was a big help in the craft room, helping the kids decorate cookies and create Popsicle stick picture frames to take home to their families.
