ISC West came and went in a flash! It was our first time exhibiting on our own this year and it was phenomenal! A very eventful, exciting trade show for Spectra, and we plan to come back even bigger and better next year. Here are some highlights from the show:
To kick off the event, we hosted a press conference the morning of Wednesday, April 15th, to announce the launch of our new global division: Spectra Video Surveillance, and introduce our supporting product: NVR3. Industry expert, John Convy, from Convy and Associates, commenced the launch with a state of the industry update where he exemplified the need to affordably store video surveillance footage for long retention terms. We were also proud to have Bob Ehlers, VP of HauteSpot innovators in wireless solutions for IP video and metadata, make an appearance and announce our partnership.
“Many industries utilize video surveillance for a variety of reasons, and today these projects include vast amounts of higher resolution cameras, more video footage and legal requirements that mandate its archival for years,” said Spectra Logic’s Chief Sales Officer, Brian Grainger. “Our new unit, Spectra Video Surveillance, and newest product, Spectra NVR3™, are natural next steps to help our clients stay ahead.”
Best New Product Award!
Spectra Logic received the Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS) award for Best of Video Surveillance Management Systems at the NPS awards ceremony on April 15th.
“Spectra Logic is proud to announce that our NVR3 has been awarded Best of Video Surveillance Management Systems at the SIA New Product Showcase at ISC West,” said Spectra Logic’s Chief Sales Officer Brian Grainger. “The security industry moves at an unprecedented speed and the Spectra NVR3™ was built to help our clients stay ahead.”
From the Spectra Booth:
During ISC West we showcased NVR3 in a series of live demos, hosted in both our booth and private meeting space. We captured video from our camera pole, using various partner technologies, and live streamed the digital content to NVR3. Visitors were able to see NVR3 running live on our large screen TV, and were also able to see video streaming to and from NVR3’s disk and digital tape tiers.
We received great feedback and much interest regarding NVR3’s tiered storage to digital tape. Many of our booth visitors had never heard of digital tape technology or had heard of, but not in terms of long term retention for surveillance footage.
Spectra Logic had a wonderful time at ISC West, and is looking forward to attending again next year. Click here to learn more about Spectra Video Surveillance, NVR3, and our win in the SIA New Product Showcase.
