BOULDER, Colo.July 25, 2011Spectra Logic, celebrating more than 30 years of data storage innovation, today announced that Betsy Doughty, director of channel development, has been named by Everything Channel’s CRN Magazine as one of the top Women of the Channel in 2011.

This annual list recognizes female executives for their accomplishments over the past year, based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel.  This year’s Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN Magazine from a field of vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers.

“This year’s Women of the Channel list honors those female executives who epitomize success within the IT channel – a traditionally male-centric industry," said Kelley Damore, vice president and editorial director for Everything Channel. “The 2011 Women of the Channel list recognizes the most influential women of the channel based on their overall achievements and their influence in the technology industry.”

Doughty joined Spectra in 2006 and brings more than 12 years of channel and indirect sales experience to the role. Under her leadership, Spectra Logic achieved 24 percent year over year growth in channel sales during its most recent fiscal year.  Doughty championed international partner expansion initiatives that drove strong growth in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. By targeting top partners with a focused approach, Spectra's overall partner recruiting and ramping process continued its double digit growth and currently includes more than 500 SpectraEDGE channel partners worldwide.

“Betsy's positive influence and leadership style is evident in the success and growth of Spectra's channel program,” said Molly Rector, chief marketing officer, Spectra Logic. “She helped to drive strong channel momentum this past year in part by introducing a comprehensive territory expansion program that led to an increase in the number of channel partners.  Betsy’s dedication to advancing our SpectraEDGE partner program ensures that Spectra Logic’s partners have the resources and support they need to succeed and grow their businesses.”

A sample of the Women of the Channel list will appear in the July issue of CRN Magazine and expanded coverage will be featured online at www.crn.com.
