BOULDER, Colo.—February 9, 2009 –Fortune 1000 IT professionals have cited Spectra Logic and its Spectra T120 tape library as "exciting" according to TheInfoPro’s (TIP) Storage Wave 11 research report. Spectra Logic and Spectra’s T120 library were both noted when study participants were asked: “Which vendors do you think have the most exciting storage products or services?” and “What emerging or exciting vendor products do you have in use?”. The report is based on responses from 140 IT decision makers in large enterprises.
"Participants in our Wave 11 study cited Spectra Logic as exciting and strategic for their disk-to-disk backup needs including simplified tape encryption management, easy to deploy virtual tape libraries and reliable traditional tape backup," said Robert Stevenson, managing director of storage research for TIP. "This excitement is evidenced by the increase in Spectra Logic consideration and adoption that has been seen over the last 18 months, bringing Spectra Logic to be among the top three most cited backup hardware alternatives under consideration when end users are considering switching."
