Spectra Logic Promotes Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and Support Leaders

BOULDER, Colo., May 24, 2006—Spectra Logic today announced several additions to its executive staff, where four key leading directors within Spectra Logic have been named vice president of their respective departments. The new leadership spans across the manufacturing, sales, marketing and support organizations, and the new vice presidents have on average ten years experience in the storage industry.

Previous director of manufacturing, Larry Ching, was named vice president of manufacturing and materials. Brian Grainger was promoted from director to vice president of Federal and Southeast sales. Spectra Logic’s former director of technical marketing and product management, Molly Rector, was named vice president of marketing. Jen Reyna was promoted from director to vice president of worldwide support.

As vice president of manufacturing and materials, Larry Ching develops effective methods that reduce operating costs and inventory, and ensures both production streamlining efficiency and overall product quality. Ching oversees manufacturing, planning and supply chain for building all Spectra Logic products to ensure high product quality and process efficiency.

Brian Grainger has spent more than 14 years in the storage industry in sales, sales management and product management positions. In 2003, Grainger founded Spectra Logic’s Federal division, which now comprises more than one-quarter of North American revenue. Today, he leads Spectra Logic Federal and the Southeast commercial sales department.

New vice president of marketing Molly Rector possesses a diverse technology background, where she has overseen and managed everything from storage implementation and support, to storage product development and launch. Rector will apply her market knowledge and lead creative marketing communications; channel and market development; and product management.

Jen Reyna has had a significant leadership role in the worldwide service and support organization since 2002. As vice president of worldwide support, she currently oversees technical support, professional services and field service functions worldwide for all Spectra Logic products. Reyna’s expertise is in data storage, open systems and customer management.
